"50 Ft. Queenie" b/w "Adult Themes"
1993 was perhaps the most fertile year for quality independent rock music, and one of the year’s most intense (and popular) tracks was the PJ Harvey classic “50 Ft. Queenie.” This, our first 7” in 19 years, features an explosive take on the track by Brooklyn avant-punks Cinema Cinema. The song is the lead single from our forthcoming compilation From ’93 ‘Til Infinity, which features sixteen bands covering indie rock songs from our birth year.
The B-side of the 7”, “Adult Themes,” (which contains one of the most blistering opening riffs we’ve ever heard) is taken from the band’s self-released CD Manic Children & The Slow Aggression, which is available on the band’s website.
Constantly touring, the band will be performing several dates with a reunited Black Flag in the Brooklyn area this summer, and is preparing to invade Europe this fall.
This single is available for digital download everywhere (though our web store features it in every format), and on 7” vinyl via our website. The high-quality 150-gram vinyl is available in a limited run of 100 opaque white copies, as well as in three separate mixed-color shades: purple, pink, and gray.comments powered by Disqus
