Big Takeover Premieres Savak

Check out “The Point of the Point” w/”Checked Out,” our newest lathe-cut, this one from the outstanding Brooklyn band *Savak*. We’ve been champing at the bit to get this one to you, our third release of the apocalypse. The tracks premiered on Jack Rabid’s outstanding “Big Takeover magazine”:http://bigtakeover.com/news/SinglePremiereThePointofthePointbwCheckedOutbySAVAK?fbclid=IwAR1PBrSBiJiFOtk6wm2IBhdiYPGdLztRm0e5sdcwrcvTysrhwXhM93ZWauo, and the limited-edition 8″ will officially release July 3 (though we’ve been shipping them for a week).

This one is limited to just 100 copies, and once they’re gone, they’re gone (though digital copies will be available wherever digital copies are sold).

It’s June 19 – Buy from us today!

Many know that Bandcamp is donating all its proceeds on Juneteenth to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

We also want you to know that we will be donating our share of proceeds from ANY sales to Rise Up Kingston, a grassroots organization in our community devoted to dismantling the structures of racism and oppression. Over the last two weeks, Rise Up Kingston has been instrumental in organizing our community and obtaining commitments from the city to enact reforms that will ensure police accountability and a stronger relationship between law enforcement and the community it is sworn to protect. We’ve only been a part of this community for a short period of time, but we can already see the importance of Rise Up Kingston, and organizations like it, and we’re proud to offer them what support we can. If you’re interested in Rise Up Kingston, you can learn more “here”:https://riseupkingston.org

We feel strongly that positive change starts with local action, and we strongly encourage you to become involved in your local community to help create the kind of place that works for all of us.

The record is available via high-resolution download and on all streaming platforms, and is also available as a limited-edition 8″ lathe-cut (8 inches because Glazer’s sound is too damn big for 7″).

Get your copy at “this link”:https://dromedaryrecords.bandcamp.com/album/bait-couch-cooking today. Get ’em quick, we expect them to sell out soon!

Coming Soon: SAVAK

We first heard Savak via Jon Solomon’s excellent Comedy Minus One label; their _Best of Luck in Future Endeavors_ LP was one of our favorites of 2016 and we quickly became followers of the band’s outstanding output. Founded by members of Obits, The Nation of Ulysses, Holy Fuck and The Cops, the band’s literate, offbeat pop draws from a wide range of influences; their albums with both CMO and the Ernest Jenning Record Company are absolutely essential.

We’re beyond thrilled to be working with them on the next installment of our lathe-cut series. On June 3, we’ll be releasing “The Point of the Point” w/ “Checked Out,” which will be released on limited-edition 8″ lathe-cut format. With artwork designed by Eli Kasan of The Gotobeds, the record will be limited to just 100 copies – once they’re gone, they’re gone!

We’ll be making the record available for preorder on June 19 via our Bandcamp site, a great day to buy because Bandcamp will be donating all their fees to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. That same day, we’ll be donating OUR proceeds to Rise Up Kingston, a grassroots organization devoted to dismantling the structures of racism and oppression in our community.
